As part of the Aveiro Steam City project, CodeHero, an Introduction to Computer Science free online learning course, was available to all interested parties, from May 18 to July 31. The programme aims to develop logical and computational thinking, which can be used in academic and professional day-to-day activities and also provides solid fundamentals and bases of programming such as values, variables, cycles, conditions, functions, treatment of strings, arrays and objects, essential for a deeper learning of any programming language.
General data reveals that the online training was attended by 116 users, 56 from the municipality of Aveiro and 60 users from municipalities from north to south of the country.
The Municipality also promoted a Contest called “CodeHero Challenges”, specifically dedicated to Secondary or Similar Students (category A) and Citizens (category B) in the Municipality of Aveiro.

The 10 best classified trainees will be given the opportunity to participate in the last elimination phase of Aveiro Tech City Bootcamp 3rd edition, to be held at the Aveiro Exhibition Park.
