Applications for the 2nd Edition of Aveiro 5G Challenges are open

Applications for the second edition of Aveiro 5G Challenges are officialy open. Registrations can be submited until March 14^th 2021 on initiative’s webpage.

The second edition of Aveiro 5G Challenges will reward new solutions and products supported by 5G technology. In partnership with Altice Labs, Institute for Telecommunications and the University of Aveiro, the city of Aveiro presents its Living Lab which includes an experimental 5G network, assuming itself as one of the first 5G trial Cities in Europe.

In city’s living lab startups, scaleups and R&D centers can develop and upscale their solutions, with technical support and mentoring.

Each one of the three final winners will receive a prize-money of € 25,000.00.

In the first edition of the Aveiro 5G Challenge the three winners - Live Electric Tours, EVA Drones and Biometrica – were selected after performing the final presentation of their projects during the Aveiro Tech Week 2020.

The Aveiro STEAM Cidade project is co-financed by the Regional Development Fund - FEDER, through the Innovative Urban Actions program. Its global investment is € 6,115,915 with ERDF support € 4,892,732.
