Aveiro Tech City Bootcamp

Aveiro Tech City Bootcamp aims to promote coding competences among citizens who wish to work in ICT ecosystem as Full Stack Developers. The programme is addressed to unemployed people, students or professionals who look for a career change.

The objective of this programme is to achieve 90% of employability of the bootcamp participants in a local tech-based company.

In 2020 the City of Aveiro is conducting 3 editions of this bootcamp.

Within the local strategy to train human resources and retain talent in the Region, the City of Aveiro, in partnership with Academia de Código, launched the 1st edition of a bootcamp in Java and Java Script, integrated in the project Aveiro STEAM City. This programme includes 14 weeks training in classroom environment and 14 weeks training on job in a company from Aveiro. This activity seeks to promote a job opportunity to unemployed people, students or professionals going through a career change, to work as a Software Developer in a local company, after the conclusion of the 28-weeks training.

The twenty participants selected to attend to Bootcamp will benefit from a discount, paying only 600€ for the course, whilst the City of Aveiro and local companies support the remaining cost of the programme.

2nd Edition Aveiro Tech City Bootcamp calendar:

• 03^rd February to 10^th April: Applications submission period and clarifications.
• until 14^th April 2020: Announcement of the 40 participants candidates.
• 17^th April to 01^st May 2020: Workshops to select the 20 participants.  
• 08^th May 2020: Announcement of the 20 participants.
• 07^th Sptember to 11^th December 2020: Training on job.
